CSSA Executives Vanier Computer Science Student Association
Vanier College’s first ever hackathon was named “VanierHacks”.
This name was established during the initial brainstorming period done in the CSSA and confirmed on May 31st 2024.
VanierHacks took place on Saturday Marth 8th 2025 and Sunday March 9th 2025.
It spanned approximately 21 scheduled-hours starting from 8AM on Saturday and ending at 5PM on Sunday.
VanierHacks was in intermission for the Saturday-Sunday night.
VanierHacks was organized from the initial hackathon team commissioned by Alex S. Vilvert which evolved to the Computer Science Student Association (CSSA) and its organizers.
The CSSA consists of students currently studying in one of the computer science programs offered at Vanier College or alumni and other students with related interests.
The CSSA’s main mission is to provide opportunities for computer science students or students interested in the field to discover opportunities in informational technology.
VanierHacks represents the CSSA’s biggest event aimed to bring together students and showcase Vanier’s technological ability in Montreal and the greater computer science space.
